Hi, my name is Audrey Alma Meyer.
Born and raised in Brussels, I immigrated to Israel four decades ago and have called it home ever since.

Deeply drawn to both the worlds of art and therapy, I have studied and experienced various therapeutic approaches while exploring different art forms. What unites these disciplines is a shared, unrelenting pursuit of connection and growth.

Traveling the world and experiencing diverse cultures have fostered my sense of inner freedom —a space for authentic expression, an appreciation for the fragility of humanity, and a recognition of the beauty of meaningful connections and experiences. While not all travelers become artists, every artist is, in essence, a traveler—embarking on inner journeys through the creative process.

For me, art serves as a vital anchor for growth and expansion. My current artistic practices include mosaic art, photography, and collage.

My mosaic artworks exude vitality and a playful spirit, zigzagging with shapes, contours, defined zones of color, and the refreshing interplay of patterns with light. I create picto-mosaics—a term I coined—that blend figurativism, abstractionism, and imaginary art into captivating wall designs.

I am attracted to symbolism. I seek interpretation, weaving stories in my work. I love the rhythm and cadence created from the passage from de-construction to reconstruction/re-fragmentation.

Photography is an instinctive and spontaneous act, much like my constant observation and scrutiny of the world around me. Through the lens, I capture fleeting moments. Photography enables me to connect with matters of the heart - attraction, exploration, distance, doubt, and even vulnerability.

Creating analogue collages allows me to engage with images through a process that begins with mindful selection and evolves into a whimsical transformation. My approach balances careful curation with an element of wildness and unpredictability.

The result is an intriguing juxtaposition of visual and emotional, undefined elements. My collages are crafted from ready-made images that transform into new, multidimensional shapes. For me, this process is an exploration of “disarticulated articulation” or “articulated disarticulation,” where fragments come together to create something entirely new. Collage opens a wide door to the realm of surrealist art.

This website highlights the eclectic nature of these artworks, showcasing how vibrancy and resonance can emerge from the most unexpected combinations. It underscores that creativity is not only a powerful tool for expression but also a gateway to deeper exploration and imagination. This space is designed to showcase the many pathways one can take—from concept to creation, and from mastering technique to embracing creative freedom.
